Down to Three
After a long and exhaustive search I have narrowed my choices for my new car to three different vehicles. I’ll go in alphabetical order with them because I honestly don’t know which one I like better. Number one is a Mazda 3 iSport. I should note that all of these are brand new. The Mazda is grey and has a manual transmission. It seems like it would be fun to drive and it gets pretty good gas mileage. The one I’m looking at is also the cheapest of the three as far as sticker price goes. I haven’t haggled any so that could change. Number two is a Subaru Impreza. The one I found is black and is an automatic. It has more options but I would be frequenting the pump more often. The biggest selling point with this one is the all-wheel drive. Last but not least is a Volkswagen Jetta. This one is also a manual transmission and it is pretty sporty. I think I enjoyed driving this one the most but I’m hesitant on the whole ‘German engineering’ thing. I have a lot of friends with VW’s that have had a lot of issues with them but they are all older cars.
I want to do a little more research on each of them and also do a car insurance comparison which is something I have yet to do. My girlfriend Kayla for what it is worth is in the Subaru’s camp but that is mainly because she can’t drive a stick shift. I have tried to teach her a few different times but she can’t get it. She can get into first gear but then she gets confused. She is the first person I have ever met that can’t learn how to do it. I tease her all the time about it which only makes her mad.
In case you are wondering the reason I’m in the market for a new vehicle is because my current one just rolled over 200,000 miles on the odometer. I am going to keep it but in storage and only drive it once in a blue moon. My girlfriend thinks I’m crazy to do such a thing but I told her that car was around well before her and will be around well after too. That too made her mad but she knows I am only kidding. I tend to joke around on her expense a lot but she dishes it out too on occasion.
